January Update

1/31/21

Hello, This is Jason here, with updates regarding Zenith Highlight.

After getting a 3D printer from Longer30, I printed up some bases for Kingdom Death. In fact, I'm going to showcase some Kingdom Death for you right here. As of right now KD is a work in progress, entirely depending on the time I have. In addition to bases, I've printed some 3d designs of my own, in regards to a 50mm Staircase that will serve as a display basing, and a greatsword for 40k Space Marines (Primaris). Overall, I believe that 3d printing is rapidly changing the miniatures market.

Take for instance a Space Marine character from GW. It costs around $30 to purchase from retail, however free STL files are being sourced. Conventionally, a 3d printer costs around $400 - $500 USD. Since I've bought the 3d printer for sale at around $199, it only takes 6 - 7 "Character Prints" to make up for the GW cost of buying 6-7 characters.

So far, I still have the Black Friday Ninja and two other KD miniatures to really "finish". The rest of my KD miniatures need to be finished via OSL lanterns. The worst part of KD is removing mold lines, priming, and then realizng that you still have mold lines left over. Overall, I hope that the quality of 3d STL files will match KD in detail, that way i only have to deal with Support structures(KD)
